The waterfront collection at this place is amazing! I walked out my back door right onto the beautiful lake… and the complimentary equipment for water sports was a nice surprise too, I used the kayak and it was in perfect shape. The staff was very friendly, helped me jump start my car a couple of times and extended my checkout without a fuss!

It wasn't exactly cheap… but still acceptable for the experience.

The indoor pool area lacked attention, with some sand lingering in the hot tub, making it hard to feel confident about cleanliness. Additionally, the seating by the lake had broken chairs that needed replacing, which detracted from enjoying that lovely outdoor space. The halting service at the bar and restaurant limited meal options, particularly during off-hours, which was frustrating.

Lake Placid is a culinary wonderland! The nearby Black Bear Restaurant serves up some amazing local eats, while the Great Adirondack Brewing Company is perfect for a casual pint after a day on the slopes. The complimentary cookies and lemonade at the resort were a sweet touch that really made our time feel special.

We had high hopes for boating fun but were left hanging when they decided not to open the docks until noon, and by then, the rain rolled in. Plus, when we went to grab kayaks the next morning, there was no staff around to unlock them until we made a call—seriously missed out on that lake vibe.
